Pay Cut for Peace of Mind
Good news!! This week the school hired a second English teacher to take all my grammar classes!! It is really a miracle from God and I'm honestly surprised administration has been so gracious. I hadn't yet told them my class load was too much for me, and one day I came to my breaking point. I honestly felt the only way to escape the weight was to go home, so I prayed that God would send a miracle to change something about my situation, saying, "Please, send someone to my door, have someone come to me with help".
The next day, 3 of my supervisors showed up at my front door and told me, "We know you need help. That is why we have posted an add for a second English teacher to come share your load of classes." I was dumbfounded. That was about 3 weeks ago.
Now, starting Monday, I will be relieved of 12 grammar classes. All of them. And the one taking my place has taught grammar for 20 years!!
God answers prayer and I definitely feel rescued. I am excited about getting to focus on just Literature and Spelling classes now, and I already feel more like myself again.
"For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'" - Isaiah 41:13
Home of the Sculptor
The photos above and below this post were taken in the home of a world famous sculptor from El Salvador, Guillermo Perdomo. He is the cousin of our friend and fellow teacher, Karen, and we had the privlege of going with her and her family to his lake house in the mountains while he and his wife were in London.
